Bjertorp Slott - the best of both worlds. At the heart of lovely Varaslätten between Skara and Gothenburg, 3.5 hours’ drive from Oslo or Stockholm, is Sweden’s youngest art-nouveau castle, Bjertorp Slott. Built in 1914, today Berjtrop is a meeting place for conferences, parties, golfers, weddings - and all those who enjoy a little luxury. A new chapter in Bjertorp’s history has begun. We have painstakingly renovated our hotel rooms with individual décor - 20th-Century art-nouveau meets modern day comfort and convenience in a dazzling combination of colors and patterns. Each of the individually designed hotel rooms, conference suites and lounges is a chapter in Knut Henrik Littorin’s intriguing life story.

The venerable and industrious old steamer, Alma, made regular stops at the jetty at Björknäs. Today Björknäsgården is a modern hotel offering discerning guests high standards of accommodation, comfort and service.
