Pets
Pets are welcome but must be booked in advance as we only have a few cabins in Vargbyn that are intended for pets.
The restaurant
The food is prepared from carefully selected, high-quality ingredients and with pure natural flavors. The direct proximity to nature gives the kitchen exclusive access to raw ingredients from the forest, the lake and the village’s own pantry.
The extensive drink list offers a great breadth with different styles from countries and producers in Europe and the rest of the world. All the wines on the menu are selected to match the overall philosophy of the cuisine and promise interesting and unexpected flavor combinations.
Spa at Hennickehammar
If you are looking for relaxation, the manor offers a lovely relaxation area with, among other things, a hot tub and sauna.
At the spa department, you can enjoy massages in various forms in peace and quiet. You can choose between classic massage, relaxation massage or Hot Stone massage. It is also possible to reserve the entire relaxation area for yourselves.
Activities
At Hennickehammar Herrgård there is a wide range of activities to take part in. Right next to the manor is the lake Hemtjärn, which is perfect for a cozy rowing or canoeing trip. There, Hennickehammar also has its own sandy beach with a connection to a wood sauna and a hot tub.
There is also the opportunity to go cross-country skiing, golf, go for walks in fantastic nature, cycle and discover new places in Värmland.

Find Hennickehammars Manor
Hennickehammars Manor House is 4 km from Filipstad. Two km south of Filipstad on road 26 you will see signs for Hennickehammar. Exit road 26, follow the road for a further two km, and you will arrive at Manor House.
Hennickehammar is wonderfully secluded, but is easy to reach from all directions.

– Oslo 300 km
From Stockholm:
Drive west along highway E20/E18 towards Oslo. I Karlskoga exit to road 237 towards Filipstad.
Follow road 237 to Storfors – turn right onto road 26 towards Filipstad. Just before Filipstad turn right towards Hennickehammars Manor House. After 2km you will arrive at the Manor House.
From Gothenburg:
Drive north on highway E20 towards Stockholm. Turn left after Mariestad onto road 26 towards Mora. Follow road 26 through Kristinehamn and Storfors towards Filipstad. Just before Filipstad turn right towards Hennickehammars Manor House. After 2 km you will arrive at the Manor House.
From Oslo:
Drive east on highway E18 towards Karlstad and Stockholm. In Karlstad take road 63
towards Filipstad. Exit road 63 in Filipstad and turn right onto road 26 towards Mariestad.
Just outside of Filipstad turn left towards Hennickehammars Manor House. After 2 km you will arrive at the Manor House.
Train service to Kristinehamn (less than 2.5 from Stockholm C by X2000). Approx. 40 minutes by bus or taxi from Kristinehamn.
Flight connection to Karlstad (approx 40 minutes from Arlanda). Approx. 50 minutes by bus or taxi from Karlstad airport.
Bus
There are direct services to Filipstad from Stockholm Central station, and good links with the rest of the country.

Right next to the manor house is the lake Hemtjärn, which is perfect for a cozy rowing or canoeing trip. Many guests also like to try their luck at fishing. Canoes, boats and fishing rods are available to borrow, of course together with life jackets. For those of you who prefer to stay close to land, the hotel has its own small sandy beach.
Golf
For those interested in golf, there is the opportunity to spend days at Saxå golf club – one of Sweden’s most beautiful courses. Our golf packages include, among other things, accommodation in a double room, a three-course dinner and a green fee.
Classic trail run – 2 people
Exercise in the beautiful surroundings around the manor together with Niklas from Vital Gym. During a run, you get tips on different running techniques and also mental training. The tour varies based on your conditions in terms of time and level of performance (approx. 40-60 min).
Wood sauna and hot tub
A refreshing end to a lovely day – bathe in the wood sauna and take a dip in the lake or in our hot tub with wood-fired water, located under the open sky next to the lake.
Exercise in nature
In all seasons there is the possibility of long walks or runs in our scenic surroundings and fresh air around the manor. Enjoy lush forest along Hemtjärn in hiking trails and exercise loops.
Gym
For the everyday exerciser or the really active, there is the opportunity to use the manor’s well-equipped gym. Bring exercise clothes and exercise between meals or other activities. Gym is included for all overnight guests.
