En hel helg på landet

South from Jönköping:
First roundabout in Skövde, drive towards Töreboda and Skövde Airport, road 200. At the third roundabout take a right. After about 3 km you will come to “Fjället”, Sign right “Knistad” about 3 km.
East from Skara/Gothenburg:
Follow road 49 towards Skövde, at the first roundabout turn left towards Mariestad, go straight through all the roundabouts, until you have Bilia on your right and Statoil on your left, you drive right towards Töreboda and Skövde Airport, road 200. After about 3 km you will come to “Fjället” sign on the right “Knistad” about 3 km.

“Incredibly nice place! Cold as hell, but it’s not their fault that I hate the cold…
Knistad Herrgård is really recommended, the staff is awake and sees right away if you want something, for us they opened the door when we came from the parking lot and were equally awake during our Christmas dinner and the morning after. The place is great in winter, I can imagine that it is even more beautiful in spring/summer.
The rooms are very nice, clean and very fresh. And the foam bananas from Steffo make the finishing touch…🙂
Overall a very nice mansion that I would be more than happy to visit again.”

“Cozy and affordable accommodation just outside Skövde. I needed accommodation with a dog and tried this. Nice and helpful staff. The restaurant was closed on Monday evening but could pre-order food for the room.
The room (205) was country charming but perhaps a bit small. Poor Wi-Fi in the room but no extra charge for dog is a plus. Well proportioned breakfast and pleasant environment. Would love to come back again.”

The food we had for breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. Fine ingredients and good flavors despite our high number of participants.
Will definitely come here again privately. Very cozy premises and nice rooms in beautiful nature.”

We are located between the fine harbor towns of Mariestad & Karlsborg. Both cities are a perfect day trip from us.
Göta Kanal
A short trip from us you will find Göta Kanal. Hop on a canal ferry for a shorter ride or settle down by the water and just enjoy watching the boats float by.

The area around Knistad is very scenic and you get a beautiful view wherever you choose to walk, jog or run.
